Job Overview

This position is exempt from the federal civilian hiring freeze. As a special agent at the FBI, your role involves applying analytical thinking and decisive action to safeguard national security. Major Responsibilities

• Design and execute probes into potential federal crimes including cybersecurity and public safety violations.
• Employ sound judgment and resourcefulness to fulfill investigative requirements.
• Develop and sustain productive cooperative relationships with law enforcement entities at all government levels, including tribal and international agencies.
• Maintain physical conditioning to meet the demands of law enforcement duties.

Qualifications and Requirements

• United States citizenship is mandatory.
• Eligibility for a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance is required.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.
• Meet all FBI employment eligibility criteria.
• Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in computer science, engineering, data science, information technology, or a similar field from an accredited U.S. institution.

Salary and Application Process

Starting pay ranges from $93,749 to $133,200 dependent on base, locality, and availability pay factors.
