Role Overview

The Social Media Moderator will oversee the content posted on various social media channels, ensuring appropriate engagement and timely responses. This role involves rotating across multiple platforms to monitor new posts, interact with the community, investigate issues, support customers, and address inquiries effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily monitoring and moderation of multiple social media accounts.
• Remove spam and inappropriate comments from posts promptly.
• Identify and engage with active community members and super users by analyzing and responding to content on company-controlled social platforms, such as community forums and brand pages.
• Apply sound judgment to determine when and how to escalate issues.
• Collect customer feedback and relay important information to the social media and client relations teams for further action.
• Collaborate with team leaders to enhance the content flow on social media channels.
• Coordinate with the Community team to approve membership requests in Facebook Groups.
• Participate creatively with program managers to develop deliverables that boost online community engagement.
• Manage resources efficiently to meet deadlines and keep stakeholders informed of progress.
• Maintain a customer service and sales-oriented mindset in all interactions.
• Accurately enter data into Google Sheets.
• Identify potential leads and follow up promptly.
• Utilize social media moderation tools, specifically Sprout Social, to reply to comments.
• Be available for moderation duties during non-traditional hours as required.
• Respond to follower comments within 1-2 hours and report concerns within 1 hour.
• Contact customers to obtain additional feedback or support special projects, such as collecting success stories and reviews.
• Perform other tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Proven experience managing social media for businesses across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
• Proficiency with MAC computers and comfortable using technology.
• Understanding consumer behavior to apply insights in daily moderation tasks.
• Strong conversational and written English communication skills.

Work Schedule and Additional Information

This full-time position operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, though additional hours and occasional travel may be needed.
