About Living Things Soda
Living Things is a rapidly expanding UK beverage brand present in major grocery chains, popular independent stores, and over 20 international markets. With under three years into their mission to create delicious, guilt-free soft drinks, the company is focused on growth and innovation.
Role Overview
The Social Media Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the online identity of Living Things. Reporting to the Head of Marketing and supervising the Marketing & Partnerships Executive, this position involves developing and executing social media strategies that cultivate a loyal community of soda enthusiasts and enhance brand presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage organic social media strategies across platforms including Meta, TikTok, and LinkedIn, tailored to each platform to increase engagement and community growth.
- Contribute to and maintain the Living Things Tone of Voice across all digital channels.
- Collaborate with the Creative Lead to generate and implement social-first content aligned with major campaigns.
- Organize and implement a calendar of culturally relevant activities including brand collaborations and tactical marketing events.
- Manage community interactions such as direct messages and comments promptly and consistently.
- Analyze social channel metrics and prepare reports to refine content strategies based on performance data.
- Work alongside the brand experience team to maximize social media impact during activations and launches.
- Identify, coordinate, and maintain relationships with influencers, creators, and brand partners to enhance marketing efforts.
- Establish and grow a brand ambassador program, evolving it strategically as insights are gathered.
- Manage and mentor the Marketing & Partnerships Executive to develop a structured influencer and creator engagement approach.
- Design social campaigns supporting key retail launches and actively promote independent stockists through content.
- Ensure comprehensive social coverage of all brand activations to position Living Things as a culturally significant brand within its sector.
Required Experience and Skills
- Between 3 to 5 years of experience managing social media or content creation, preferably in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Food & Beverage (F&B), or fast-growing consumer brands.
- Proven success managing organic social media strategies on at least two major platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, or LinkedIn that demonstrate measurable increases in reach and engagement.
- Proficient in creating, filming, editing, and producing short-form video content with experience using tools like CapCut, Canva, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Familiarity with influencer and creator outreach including drafting briefs, managing relationships, and driving campaign deliverables.
- Ability to lead timely community engagement with clearly defined response standards and escalation procedures.
- Competence in utilizing social analytics and reporting tools to influence content planning and campaign evaluation.
- Experience in managing, coaching, or mentoring junior team members.
- Strong copywriting and content briefing abilities across multiple formats.
- Excellent organizational skills to handle live content calendars and multiple concurrent initiatives efficiently.
- Adept at functioning effectively within a dynamic, high-growth environment with minimal approval processes.
