About Climate Action
Climate Action is a purpose-led convening platform that brings together influential voices from business, finance, policy, and civil society to accelerate solutions for the climate crisis. The role sits within a network that helps amplify major global moments, including the UNFCCC Conference of the Parties (COP) and London Climate Action Week, while reaching senior leaders from governments, UN agencies, investors, and industry.
As part of the marketing team, you will lead social media and content delivery across LinkedIn, newsletters, event websites, email tools, key event stakeholders such as sponsors, speakers and partners, and ClimateAction.org. Your work will help shape the organisation’s digital presence, support audience growth, and keep content aligned with the credibility and ambition of its mission.
This position is well suited to someone who is imaginative, well organised, proactive, and confident in communicating with senior stakeholders. You will need excellent written English, strong communication skills, and the ability to turn key messages into content that performs well across digital channels and live events.
A real commitment to sustainability and climate action is essential, along with a solid grasp of climate and sustainability language, trends, and sector developments. The role calls for someone who can create thoughtful, high-quality content that informs, inspires, and supports positive change through storytelling and digital engagement.
If you enjoy working in a fast-moving environment, like mission-driven communications, and want your work to contribute to meaningful global impact, this role offers the chance to grow professionally while expanding your network.
Responsibilities
- Plan, write, schedule, and publish engaging content across LinkedIn, newsletters, event websites, email platforms, ClimateAction.org, and other digital channels.
- Create social copy, newsletter content, website text, speaker announcements, promotional content, and event marketing assets.
- Keep messaging, tone of voice, and visual presentation consistent across all channels.
- Design branded graphics, banners, promotional visuals, and marketing materials using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
- Build and deliver creative social media and email campaigns for events, speakers, partners, and wider initiatives.
- Produce written, visual, and short-form video content such as reels, interviews, behind-the-scenes clips, and event highlights.
- Provide live event coverage through real-time updates, photography, interviews, and on-site content capture.
- Coordinate marketing and communications schedules to support the timely promotion of events, webinars, and campaigns.
- Help drive audience growth, registrations, delegate sales, sponsorship leads, and newsletter sign-ups through targeted digital activity.
- Promote speakers, sponsors, and partners across communication channels to increase visibility and engagement.
- Track climate, sustainability, clean energy, finance, and policy trends, including hashtags and online discussions, to keep content relevant.
- Review social and digital performance and prepare weekly and monthly reports with insights and optimisation suggestions.
- Support website content creation, formatting, uploading, and maintenance across event sites and ClimateAction.org, ensuring accurate and visually consistent user journeys.
- Research audience behaviour, competitor activity, and emerging digital marketing trends to identify new opportunities.
- Assist with partnership, influencer, ambassador, and media collaboration opportunities connected to climate and sustainability work.
- Bring forward creative ideas that improve campaigns, audience engagement, and community growth across the global network.
Requirements
- Background in social media management, marketing content, communications, or digital marketing.
- Strong copywriting and storytelling ability, with close attention to detail and the flexibility to adjust tone for different platforms and audiences.

- Comfort with analytics, reporting tools, and campaign performance monitoring.
- Strong planning and time management skills, with the ability to handle several projects and deadlines at once.
