Position Overview
We are looking for a meticulous Social Compliance Specialist to manage and uphold ethical production standards within our textile manufacturing processes. This role demands ensuring full compliance with global social responsibility frameworks, notably Sedex SMETA and the Higg Index's Facility Social & Labor Module (FSLM). The specialist will act as the liaison between factory operations and brand requirements, maintaining audit readiness continuously.
Key Duties
- Lead all aspects of audit management including preparation, hosting, and subsequent follow-up for annual Sedex SMETA (both 2-Pillar and 4-Pillar) and Higg FSLM audits and verifications.
- Design and execute Corrective Action Plan Reports (CAPR) to promptly remedy any audit findings within specified deadlines.
- Perform regular internal gap assessments and annually complete the Higg FSLM self-assessment platform.
- Ensure factories comply with pertinent local labor legislation, health and safety rules, wage regulations, and recognized global ethical benchmarks.
- Implement ongoing training programs for factory personnel and management focused on safety, health, and workers’ rights.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience ranging between 1 to 5 years in social compliance, specifically within textile or garment manufacturing sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing Sedex SMETA audits and utilizing Higg Index FSLM verification systems.
Compensation
The salary offered is in the range of 400000 to 800000 INR per annum.
