Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Southland State Highway Maintenance team as a Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS). In this key position, you will ensure Temporary Traffic Management sites are properly established to maintain safety for our crew, road users, and stakeholders while working within our stabilising crew.

Your Profile

We value an approachable personality and a willingness to travel around the Southland Region. Key requirements include:

  • Possession of a current STMS qualification and relevant experience in traffic management.
  • Strong knowledge of temporary traffic management practices and standards.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership capabilities.
  • A safety-first mindset with proactive health and safety approaches.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and capably resolve on-site problems.
  • A full New Zealand driver's licence.

While meeting these criteria is important, we are willing to provide training to suitable candidates who may not fulfill every requirement.
