Site Supervisor

Job Overview

The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing all on-site construction operations. The role focuses on ensuring projects adhere to schedules, budgets, and quality expectations while maintaining safety standards. This includes collaboration with project managers, contractors, and workforce to ensure smooth project execution.

Key Duties

• Oversee daily construction activities to ensure alignment with planned schedules.
• Coordinate efforts between clients, subcontractors, and workers for efficient task execution.
• Monitor project milestones, address any on-site challenges to avoid delays.
• Inspect construction work to verify compliance with design specifications, quality norms, and standards.
• Promptly identify and rectify any non-compliance or quality issues with documented corrective actions.
• Ensure rigorous enforcement of health and safety regulations at the site.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions to maintain safety awareness among workers.
• Investigate any accidents or incidents thoroughly, prepare detailed reports, and implement preventive strategies.
• Manage inventory and use of construction materials, preventing shortages or wastage and ensuring budget alignment.
• Maintain all equipment in operational condition with proper upkeep.
• Serve as the primary liaison among site staff, project managers, and clients, providing regular progress updates.
• Work closely with design and engineering teams to resolve technical challenges encountered on-site.
• Lead, motivate, and support on-site workers to meet project objectives.
• Provide guidance, training, and conflict resolution for team members to foster a positive working environment.

Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Certification in site supervision or construction management is beneficial.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in site supervision or equivalent construction management roles with a proven track record.
• Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
• Familiar with construction machinery, tools, relevant safety regulations, and quality control practices.
• Strong leadership skills paired with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Effective problem-solving skills and capability to perform under pressure.
• Team-focused and cooperative approach.
