Role Overview
Join us as a Shop Assistant by assisting customers, ensuring the store is well-stocked, fresh, and appealing, and embracing a team that values a passion for fresh food and people. No prior experience is necessary as training will be provided. What matters most is having a friendly demeanor, pride in your tasks, and a love for fresh food. Many Store Managers began their journey in this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Replenish and rotate stock to maintain full and fresh displays.
- Keep the back of house area tidy, organized, and well-maintained.
- Monitor product quality, expiration dates, and follow FIFO procedures.
- Manage shelving to ensure convenient and accurate customer access.
- Deliver helpful customer service on the sales floor.
- Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety protocols.
- Work collaboratively with the team to facilitate daily store operations.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is passionate about food and preferably has prior experience in fresh food retail. Key personal attributes and qualifications include:
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Physical ability to handle manual tasks and remain on feet throughout shifts.
- Team-oriented mindset with a dedicated work ethic.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including mornings and evenings, across a 7-day roster.
