Shipping Operator - Liquid Bulk / Chemical Tankers

Overview

We represent a global liquid bulk chartering firm with multiple offices throughout Asia, specializing in the transport of chemical and liquid bulk cargoes. The Singapore office is expanding, and we seek an experienced Shipping Operator to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily voyage operations for liquid bulk cargo shipments.
• Maintain close coordination with shipowners, charterers, brokers, and agents to facilitate smooth operations.
• Track vessel schedules ensuring strict adherence to charter party obligations.
• Administer cargo-related documentation, manage port calls, laytime, and address operational issues promptly.
• Support comprehensive voyage management from fixture through to completion.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least three years of direct experience in shipping operations within the tanker segment, with a preference for chemical or liquid bulk tankers.
• Proficient understanding of voyage charter and/or time charter procedures and operations.
• Strong knowledge of tanker shipping workflows and activities following fixture agreements.
• Capability to work autonomously in a high-demand, commercially driven shipping setting.
• Mandarin language skills are a significant plus, facilitating communication with Chinese partners.
