Senior Strategy & Planning Analyst, Uber for Business

Role Overview

The Strategy & Planning Business Analytics and Insights team plays a crucial role in driving growth for Uber for Business by developing scalable reports, advanced analytics, and AI-driven solutions that enable strategic decision-making across the company. This team collaborates extensively with Sales, Strategy Operations, Core Operations, and company leadership to establish key metrics, generate insights, and enhance accountability throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Strategy & Operations and Core Operations teams to deliver insightful reporting aligned with long-term growth objectives.
• Develop and expand dashboards and reporting tools to monitor performance, assess impact, and enforce accountability for growth initiatives.
• Evaluate category positioning, share of wallet, and market opportunities to guide investment decisions and prioritize impactful growth sectors.
• Partner with product, sales, and operations teams to assess new product opportunities and transform business inquiries into actionable data analyses.
• Convert complex datasets into clear insights and recommendations that empower leadership to make informed, data-driven choices.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years in data-focused roles such as Data Analyst, BI Analyst, or Data Scientist with demonstrated ability to generate actionable business insights.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Expertise in SQL and Python for data handling, KPI monitoring, and constructing scalable dashboards and workflows using platforms like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong commercial understanding with capabilities to influence senior leaders, translate complex data into strategic insights, especially within sales or revenue-driven contexts.
• Proven problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills, adept at structuring ambiguous questions into clear analyses and communicating findings to diverse teams.
• Experience in developing and applying machine learning models such as regression, forecasting, and opportunity sizing to solve business challenges including revenue growth and wallet share estimation.
• Advanced skills in analytics and statistics, utilizing methods like multivariate regression, time series analysis, and A/B testing to support evidence-based decisions.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and large-scale data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake) to design scalable data solutions.

Compensation and Benefits

For New York City-based positions, the salary ranges from USD 135,000 to USD 150,000 annually. Employees across US locations can participate in Uber's bonus program, may receive equity awards, and are eligible for a 401(k) plan and various benefits.

Additional Information

This role supports a hybrid work model requiring at least 50% in-office presence unless full remote is approved. Some roles, particularly at greenlight hubs, require full-time onsite work.
