Senior Sales Executive

Role overview

This opportunity is for a field-focused Senior Sales Executive / Business Development Manager covering Ireland. The position is based in Dublin, with nationwide travel required, and is suited to someone who can develop commercial relationships, win new business, and support growth in the Irish market.

The company is a European distributor of data cabling and network infrastructure solutions, working across commercial, industrial, and data centre settings. This role offers the chance to join the Irish business at a growth stage, with strong earning potential and scope for long-term progression.

Work arrangement

The job is primarily external and field-based. You should expect to spend around three days each week travelling to meet customers and partners across Ireland, while the rest of the week is based from the Dublin office. A full driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Win and develop new business across Ireland.
• Maintain and grow relationships with electrical contractors, consultants, and business partners.
• Promote key product ranges and help secure product specification.
• Support sales expansion across commercial, industrial, and data centre markets.
• Contribute ideas and input to wider commercial planning and market growth.
• Update pipeline, activity, and opportunity progress in CRM tools.
• Share market feedback and reporting updates with the Sales Director.

Candidate profile

The role calls for a commercially minded sales professional with 3 to 5+ years of experience in electrical, data networking, or technical sales. A background in external sales or business development is important, along with a solid understanding of the Irish electrical contractor market and experience working through channel or distribution-led sales models.

Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills are essential. Candidates from electrical wholesaling, lighting or electrical product sales, electrician or electrical engineering backgrounds with sales experience, or technical B2B infrastructure/construction sales are especially relevant.

Package and benefits

• Annual base salary of €60,000 to €70,000.
• Additional on-target earnings of €30,000 to €40,000.
