Role Overview
This remote position involves leading qualitative and mixed-methods evaluations across multiple sites within public health and related sectors. The successful candidate will design and implement qualitative research aligned with program goals, focusing on diverse populations and ensuring comprehensive data collection and analysis. This role requires some travel and is contingent upon contract award.
Core Responsibilities
- Create and execute qualitative and mixed-method evaluation plans tailored to program objectives.
- Conduct primary qualitative data collection, including key informant interviews and focus groups across various locations.
- Develop culturally sensitive data collection tools in English and Spanish, ensuring validity and relevance.
- Maintain rigorous qualitative codebooks to support consistent data coding and quality control.
- Analyze qualitative data and mixed-methods findings to answer evaluation questions and identify barriers and facilitators in implementation.
- Manage large qualitative datasets and prepare materials suitable for federal reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with partners to align evaluation activities with organizational goals and federal standards.
- Lead the production of detailed evaluation reports and materials for national dissemination and presentations.
- Incorporate stakeholder experiences into evaluation design processes while adhering to ethical and federal research guidelines.
Essential Qualifications
- At least five years of professional experience conducting qualitative and mixed-methods research and evaluation.
- Proven track record with multi-site public health evaluation projects.
- Knowledge or experience related to opioid use disorder or harm reduction initiatives.
- Fluency in English and Spanish or demonstrated experience working with diverse cultural populations.
- Ability to develop qualitative instruments and prepare findings for diverse audiences, including compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards.
- Strong analytical and communication skills to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
- Previous experience working with federal agencies and eligibility for government security clearance.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
