Senior Project Manager

Position Overview

This opportunity, facilitated by a partner company, invites a Senior Project Manager based in Canada to lead sophisticated technology transformation projects. The role involves spearheading large-scale delivery engagements, ensuring meticulous governance, financial oversight, and alignment with business strategies. Key Responsibilities

• Manage comprehensive project lifecycles, encompassing scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, quality assurance, risk and issue resolution, dependencies, change management, and delivery monitoring.
• Lead extensive consulting initiatives centered on ERP, CRM, cloud platforms, and digital transformation solutions.
• Develop and enforce clear project frameworks, ownership assignments, communication strategies, decision-making processes, and success benchmarks alongside stakeholders.
• Oversee project budgets that range from 2 to over 10 million USD, including forecasting, financial monitoring, margin maintenance, and applying corrective measures.
• Identify risks early, formulate mitigation approaches, and escalate issues appropriately.
• Implement structured delivery methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Waterfall, or hybrid models and governance systems.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including delivery, architecture, technical, functional, offshore, PMO, and client representatives.
• Lead high-level reporting, steering committee meetings, project health evaluations, and facilitation of key decisions.
• Handle scope modifications, estimate adjustments, and contribute to commercial dialogues using robust change management techniques.
• Mentor teams, elevate delivery standards, resolve disputes, and uphold accountability within project groups.
• Participate in ongoing enhancement of delivery frameworks, instruments, templates, and operational methodologies.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of project management experience in professional consulting services, especially involving complex technology implementations.
• Demonstrated leadership within ERP, CRM, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Azure, cloud, or other enterprise technology projects.
• Experience managing multi-workstream projects with diverse global teams including onshore, offshore, client, and technical groups.
• Proficient financial management skills involving large project budgets, forecasting, margin analysis, and risk reduction.
• Competence in project controls including scheduling, baseline tracking, variance analysis, forecasting, and corrective action planning.
• Strong familiarity with diverse delivery methodologies including Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Waterfall, CPM, and hybrids thereof.
• Leadership experience with teams exceeding 20 professionals across various locations and time zones.
• Exceptional communication skills tailored for interactions with executives, business leaders, technical teams, vendors, and clients.
• Solid business judgment capable of balancing client expectations, delivery risks, and commercial priorities.
• Ability to function autonomously, handle uncertainty, and make decisive actions in rapid-paced environments.
• Preferred Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or related disciplines.
• Certifications such as PMP are preferred, along with credentials like CSM, PMI-ACP, or SAFe.
• Advanced proficiency with tools including Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Power BI, and project management platforms.
• Experience in executive governance, KPI-driven project management, and supporting digital transformation initiatives.
