Role Overview

As a Senior Project Manager in Germany focusing on Greenfield projects, you will be accountable for the comprehensive planning and execution of advanced industrial facilities—from initial conception through to successful commissioning. You will actively drive the construction of modern plants, manage budgets, and ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and up to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams comprising internal departments and external partners.
• Take ownership of planning, executing, and monitoring complex projects until completion.
• Manage all aspects of project control including objectives, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, safety assessments, and project documentation incorporating lessons learned.
• Create and maintain detailed project timelines, schedules, and financial plans, reporting regularly on progress.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage project risks while developing appropriate countermeasures.
• Ensure cost transparency and track CAPEX and OPEX investments.
• Oversee coordination, management, and acceptance of external engineering services.
• Organize and supervise contractors while ensuring compliance with relevant safety regulations.
• Drive improvements to internal standards and policies.
• Coordinate stakeholders across all project interfaces.

In your role as the lead CAPEX Project Manager for Germany, you will manage investment projects from concept through commissioning, handling budgets up to 25 million Euros, ensuring adherence to deadlines, scope, and top-tier quality standards.

Candidate Profile

• Completed academic degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Several years of professional experience in plant construction, preferably in waste treatment or design of solid chemical facilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of applicable machinery directives.
• Basic experience with CAD software is an advantage.
• Fluent in English.
• Highly structured, independent, and goal-focused working style with entrepreneurial and analytical thinking.
• Effective communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.

Work Environment and Conditions

• Projects primarily based at offices in Krefeld, Hagen, Würzburg, and Schwandorf.
• Possibility of international assignments.
• Travel frequency of approximately 1 to 3 days per week depending on place of residence.
• Part of the Blue Phoenix Group headquartered in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
