Senior Project Manager - Power & Utilities

Overview

We seek a seasoned Senior Project Manager to oversee the execution of significant capital investments in the power and utilities domain. This role demands comprehensive expertise spanning project feasibility through to final commissioning and transfer.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead major infrastructure projects within the power generation and desalination sectors.
• Manage all stages of the project lifecycle, including feasibility studies, execution, commissioning, and handover.
• Oversee multidisciplinary teams ensuring project objectives are met within scope and budget.
• Apply strong contract negotiation, risk management, and tendering skills.
• Interface effectively with clients or owners as part of project management duties.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 12 years’ experience in project engineering and management disciplines.
• Demonstrated background in power generation and/or desalination projects, specifically IWPP or equivalent utility infrastructure ventures.
• Preferred experience on the client or owner side of project management.
• Engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering.
• Familiarity with Primavera P6 scheduling software and SAP-PS advantageous.
• Exposure to renewable energy projects is a beneficial addition.
