Job Overview
Leonardo UK invites applications for the role of Senior People Partner based at Basildon. This salaried position offers between a360,000 and a370,000 annually, within a framework that aligns with company grades and external market benchmarks. The role involves close collaboration with senior leaders in Finance and Project Controls teams, delivering strategic people initiatives across the Integrated Sensing and Protection Line of Business, and cooperating with the broader People Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain trusting relationships with senior management to comprehend business needs and offer strategic human resources guidance that aligns with company objectives.
- Collaborate with leadership teams in Finance and Project Controls to implement UK People Plan and provide tailored people solutions supporting business priorities.
- Lead strategic people-focused projects throughout the ISP Line of Business, fostering organizational effectiveness and continual enhancements.
- Act as a trusted coach to leaders, assisting with organizational change management, leadership development, and effective personnel management.
- Utilize workforce analytics and insights to detect trends, support decision-making, and shape initiatives that boost business performance.
- Promote Employee Experience and Inclusion aligned to corporate strategy, supporting initiatives, forums, and employee networks to enhance workplace culture.
- Support organizational design efforts, workforce planning, and talent development to prepare the business for future success.
- Provide expert advice on employee relations, supporting management in resolving complex matters while complying with employment laws and minimizing business risks.
- Work in partnership with the wider People Team to ensure seamless, high-quality HR service delivery and support continuous improvement in people practices.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as an HR or People Partner with a track record of offering strategic and operational HR support, ideally within technology, engineering, or similarly complex organizations.
- Capability to foster influential relationships and positively impact decisions at senior leadership levels.
- Demonstrated competence in leading cross-departmental projects and managing organizational change initiatives.
- Strong coaching, communication, and influencing skills, comfortable with constructive challenge and leadership development.
- Ability to translate business strategies into practical, effective people solutions to enhance organizational performance.
- Comprehensive understanding and application of UK employment law and employee relations practices.
- Proficient in leveraging HR data analytics to inform strategies and evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives.
- Possession of a CIPD qualification (Level 5 or Level 7) or equivalent experience is preferred.
- A collaborative mindset and team spirit, with the ability to build partnerships across HR functions and the wider business.

Security Clearance
The position requires pre-employment screening under the UK Government's Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and may involve additional National Security Vetting such as Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
