Senior Officer - Accounting

Job Purpose

This role is focused on making sure supplier invoices and payments are handled accurately and within the required timelines. It also plays an important part in protecting the organization’s financial integrity by monitoring expenses and ensuring all activities align with internal rules and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Check invoices received from vendors and suppliers to confirm they are complete and accurate.
• Coordinate with the relevant teams to obtain approvals and keep the payment flow moving on schedule.
• Plan and execute vendor payments in line with the agreed payment terms.
• Build payment runs and ensure disbursements are completed on time so supplier relationships remain strong.
• Keep vendor master information current, including contact details and payment conditions.
• Respond to vendor questions and resolve concerns related to invoice issues and payment updates.
• Match accounts payable entries with vendor statements and transaction records to maintain accuracy.
• Follow company policies and applicable regulations related to accounts payable processing.
• Support the creation and upkeep of internal controls that help reduce the risk of fraud and mistakes.
• Help with internal and external audit requirements by sharing the needed records and clarifications for accounts payable items.
• Prepare and book monthly accruals so expenses are captured in the correct accounting period.

Qualifications and Experience

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, economics, or an equivalent field, along with 2 to 4 years of experience in a comparable role or function.

This is a full-time, onsite role based in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
