Role Overview
The Senior Marketing Performance Manager is a highly analytical and commercially focused role responsible for leading the analysis, forecasting, and media investment strategies that drive growth. This role collaborates closely with marketing managers to assess channel effectiveness, uncover opportunities, and provide data-led recommendations to optimize marketing spend and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage evaluation of marketing performance across all acquisition channels.
- Analyze various aspects including campaigns, audience segments, creatives, landing pages, funnels, and promotions to identify enhancement opportunities.
- Investigate trends to diagnose causes behind changes in volume, efficiency, conversion metrics, and customer quality.
- Convert complex data sets into actionable strategies for improving acquisition efficiency.
- Collaborate with channel experts and agencies to seek optimisation approaches.
- Develop frameworks to better understand marketing effectiveness and incremental gains.
- Oversee forecasting, rolling re-forecasts, and scenario planning across marketing channels, adjusting plans based on real-time data and market trends.
- Build scenario models to guide investment and planning decisions.
- Devise data-backed recommendations on budget allocations to maximize performance and meet objectives.
- Create and maintain performance dashboards with clear KPIs; communicate insights to senior leadership.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Finance, Commercial, and Data to align on performance and forecasts.
- Support testing and experimentation programs by analyzing results and advising on next steps.
- Act as a trusted advisor on marketing performance and investment choices to senior stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
- Extensive experience in marketing performance, growth marketing, media or marketing analytics, or commercial analytics.
- Proven capability in constructing forecasts, reforecasts, and investment models.
- Comprehensive understanding of performance marketing channels such as Paid Search, Paid Social, Affiliate, and Display.
- Ability to interpret complex data and develop commercial recommendations.
- Experience with handling large datasets and creating performance reports.
- Strong influencing skills with senior stakeholders backed by data-driven insights.
- Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Solid commercial awareness and understanding of acquisition economics.
- Proficiency in BI tools like Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or equivalents.
- Clear communicator who can simplify complex information effectively.
