Role Overview
The Senior Manager for Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) based in Bangalore or Mumbai will lead the development and management of strong, cooperative relationships with vital suppliers. The role prioritizes strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, managing supplier performance, and continuous enhancements to maximize value from these partnerships. Additionally, this position drives strategic partnerships with major brands to boost the company's market stature and promote joint growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Orchestrate supplier selection, thorough evaluation, and contract negotiation processes.
- Perform comprehensive due diligence to assess suppliers' financial health, quality frameworks, and capabilities.
- Ensure effective onboarding of new suppliers to integrate seamlessly into the supply chain.
- Negotiate and oversee contracts securing advantageous terms for the company.
- Define and monitor supplier KPIs such as delivery timeliness, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Conduct periodic performance assessments, offer feedback, and pinpoint improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to tackle supplier performance challenges.
- Seek and establish strategic collaborations with key brands to elevate market position.
- Plan and execute joint marketing and sales campaigns alongside partners.
- Manage co-branding and co-marketing agreements through negotiation and administration.
- Track partnership outcomes and adjust strategies dynamically.
- Utilize alliances to penetrate new markets, expand clientele, and acquire technologies.
- Promote ongoing process improvements within supplier relationships and workflows.
- Foster and retain strong internal stakeholder relations including procurement, operations, engineering, and finance.
- Communicate supplier status and issues effectively across internal teams.
Qualifications and Experience
- An MBA or Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
- Over 8 years of professional experience in procurement, supplier relationship management, or category management, with ecommerce or pharmaceutical sector experience considered advantageous.
- Proven expertise in developing and sustaining strategic partnerships is highly valued.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication capabilities, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated skill in building robust relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving aptitude.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal and contract negotiation skills.
