Role Overview

The Senior Manager - Purchase & Materials will be responsible for procurement and vendor management, requiring strong interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively within various departments. Experience working with ERP systems, specifically BAAN, is essential. This position demands robust negotiation capabilities for dealing with multiple vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle procurement of raw materials and manage inventory levels efficiently.
• Plan material requirements in alignment with the production schedule.
• Source necessary materials ensuring their availability as per production demands.
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships, including vendor evaluation and enhancement.
• Liaise effectively across departments to streamline operations.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in procurement, inventory management, and material planning.
• Strong negotiation skills for vendor interactions.
• Experience using ERP systems, particularly BAAN ERP.
• Ability to develop and upgrade the vendor base effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate internally and externally.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech / B.E.) in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
