Role Overview
The Senior Finance Analyst will be responsible for managing budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis as well as producing detailed variance analyses with clear explanations. This role demands a high level of financial insight and the ability to lead and support financial planning functions effectively.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze intricate financial datasets to extract and interpret key information, evaluating past financial outcomes and forecasting future financial results.
- Lead planning and budgeting processes and prepare financial reports that include forecasting, trend analysis, and performance results.
- Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages, ensuring variance analyses are thorough and accurate.
- Monitor the internal cost budgets to ensure expenses remain aligned with approved financial plans.
- Critically assess forecast inputs provided by the Operations team and clarify variances with detailed explanations.
- Support weekly cash flow forecasting activities and conduct related variance assessments.
- Ensure that forecasts and budgets are correctly uploaded and reconciled within the Oracle Planning Module.
- Supervise team members by allocating tasks, providing training, resolving problems, conducting performance evaluations, and motivating the team to achieve high productivity.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Post-qualification degree in accounting, preferably a Chartered Accountant certification.
- Extensive experience including a minimum of five years in a similar finance role within large organizations.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Understanding the financial consequences of business actions and actively engaging stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation abilities.
- Superior analytical capabilities and the aptitude to quickly identify key issues.
- Ability to question assumptions and develop innovative financial solutions.
