Senior Executive, Trainer Systems and Resource

Role overview

This position supports the Republic of Singapore Navy’s outsourced training arrangements by keeping the required training resources available and properly assigned within the Maritime Training and Doctrine Command (MTDC). The role focuses on coordinating trainer systems, training aids, and training facilities so that training activities can run smoothly.

Key duties

• Administer contracts tied to outsourced resources used for training operations.
• Oversee the availability, usage, and allocation of trainer systems, training aids, and training venues.
• Monitor and maintain utilisation records for important trainer systems and facilities.
• Make sure payments are processed on time and that all outsourced training contracts meet governance requirements.
• Liaise with external training partners to secure the resources needed for RSN training.
• Develop, propose, and assess initiatives that strengthen contract management and governance compliance.

Operational challenges

• Managing competing training needs across schoolhouses and operational units.
• Responding quickly to last-minute changes caused by possible operational restrictions.
• Balancing requests for limited shared training facilities while prioritising allocations to minimise disruption to training programmes.

Requirements

• A qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics Management is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in logistics and supply chain work is required.
• Background in contract management and support for training resources will be an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail for monitoring usage data and maintaining compliance standards.
• Capable of working on own initiative with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
