Role Overview
The appointed candidate will spearhead demand planning, forecasting, replenishment, and supply planning efforts to enhance product availability and optimize inventory management across store locations.
- Develop and update demand forecasting models to accurately predict product demand patterns.
- Model promotion impacts and incorporate trends and seasonal fluctuations relevant to DFI stores.
- Collaborate with commercial teams, category managers, and suppliers to ensure product availability.
- Coordinate supply planning with supply partners and supervise inventory levels, modifying replenishment orders accordingly.
- Analyze data to detect trends and suggest process enhancements.
- Contribute to establishing and executing inventory management strategies.
- Maintain precise records of inventory status and demand forecasts.
- Track and report key performance metrics, including fill rate and accuracy of inventory.
- Engage with suppliers to manage performance metrics and oversee comprehensive planning execution.
- Optimize inventory to fulfill customer needs while minimizing excess and obsolete stock.
- Introduce continuous improvements and efficiency initiatives in supply chain processes, remaining informed of industry best practices and emerging trends.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless information flow and cross-functional collaboration.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
- A minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience in supply chain or demand planning roles.
- Proficient in demand forecasting, inventory management, and related systems.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and data analytics tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and efficiently manage multiple responsibilities.
