Role overview

StackAdapt is a remote-first advertising technology company headquartered in Canada, and this position is based in Canada. The Business Intelligence function is essential to helping teams make informed, data-backed decisions across the business. In this senior analyst role, you will take ownership of advanced reporting and analysis for several internal partners, supporting strategic planning and day-to-day operational insight within the Advertising Technologies department.

StackAdapt is a self-serve programmatic advertising platform trusted by major agencies and brands. The company uses AI-driven optimization at scale to help marketers plan and execute campaigns across programmatic advertising and other marketing channels.

What you'll do

  • Create and upkeep advanced dashboards and reporting solutions that help different teams and business groups make better decisions.
  • Run analysis projects from start to finish, including translating business needs into technical requirements for ETL and data modeling work.
  • Define tailored KPIs and metrics that measure performance, risk, and growth opportunities.
  • Spot data integrity problems, then put validation checks and BI best practices in place to reduce future issues.
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners to clarify reporting requests, challenge assumptions, and present findings in a clear way.
  • Independently manage a mix of recurring and on-demand reports for stakeholders.
  • Build or improve at least two automated reporting processes using the tools available, including AI tools such as Claude or Gemini.
  • Develop strong working partnerships with key stakeholders across the Advertising Technologies organization.
  • Write down data definitions, reporting steps, and ETL logic to reduce dependency on individual knowledge.
  • Take part in BI sprint planning and backlog prioritization.
  • Use AI/LLM tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini to speed up analysis, automate repetitive work, and draft documentation.

What we're looking for

  • At least 3 years of experience in a data analytics position with a proven ability to deliver advanced reporting for multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Strong SQL capability, including the ability to define ETL needs and work with complex data from different sources.
  • Hands-on experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms, along with building dashboards for clients or executives.
  • Excellent communication skills and a background in presenting analytical insights to senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to trace data quality issues to their root cause and implement systematic fixes.
