We are seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to support major projects from tender through final account in the Greater Dublin area, working remotely on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with Contracting Entity standards and contract suites, including NEC contracts, aligning with programme requirements.
  • Oversee contract administration to fully comply with contractual terms and management procedures, identifying and reporting any deviations.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative commercial relationships with contractors and consultants to promote efficient delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Review and advise on project-specific draft contracts, coordinating with legal, technical, and financial teams as necessary.
  • Lead contract negotiations and provide expert commercial guidance to project leadership.
  • Approve subcontractor documentation and certify payment assessments under NEC Option C and E contracts.
  • Audit contractor and consultant accounts to verify accurate cost claims per contract terms.
  • Assess cost forecasts and incentive mechanisms, including pain/gain share under NEC Option C and D contracts.
  • Perform delay damages evaluations when required.
  • Develop and implement contract management strategies at category and programme levels and approve related plans.
  • Set KPI targets within NEC incentive schedules and monitor contractor and consultant performance accordingly.
  • Maintain KPI libraries and review performance evaluations, implementing improvement plans as needed.
  • Manage and support a team of contract administrators, encouraging teamwork within the broader project groups.
  • Evaluate compensation event submissions and advise project/service managers on recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance of payment applications with contract stipulations.
  • Provide oversight and approval for tender documentation, including contract conditions, amendments, and specific contractual clauses.
  • Supervise tendering and evaluation processes up to contractor and consultant appointments.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Postgraduate degree preferably in Project Management, Construction, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
  • Extensive contract management experience, including at least three years with NEC contracts.
  • Proven history in infrastructure or aviation project delivery.
  • Expertise in performance monitoring, claims handling, and commercial reporting.
