Senior CloudOps Engineer

Role Overview

Join Snoonu as a Senior CloudOps Engineer and take charge of managing large-scale, distributed production systems. This role requires deep expertise in AWS across multi-account setups, including managing Organizations, IAM, VPC, ECS, RDS, and Secrets Manager, along with cost optimization practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize container orchestration platforms such as ECS with EC2 capacity providers and Kubernetes in a production environment.
• Perform production-ready database operations including schema migrations, performance tuning, connection management, and failover for PostgreSQL or similar relational/NoSQL databases.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, supporting delivery across multiple teams and environments.
• Implement and manage observability frameworks involving metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting using tools like Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, or OpenSearch; work towards reducing these observability costs efficiently.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Pulumi focusing on modular architecture, state management, drift detection, and deployment across multiple AWS accounts.
• Build automation tools and internal platforms primarily with Python, and optionally Go.
• Troubleshoot networking issues including DNS, load balancing, security groups, and VPN connectivity without depending on predefined runbooks.
• Ensure infrastructure compliance with standards such as PCI-DSS, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 by integrating controls directly into the infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership to align infrastructure strategies with business goals focusing on availability, cost efficiency, and delivery speed.
