Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Business Analyst to contribute to a major Payroll Transformation Program at a premier financial services firm in Australia. This role involves working collaboratively with Payroll, HR, Finance, and Technology teams to enhance business processes, gather comprehensive requirements, and help deliver high-quality payroll solutions over a multi-year initiative.
Responsibilities
- Lead discovery sessions to gather and analyze business, functional, and process-related requirements.
- Evaluate and streamline payroll-related business processes within a complex organization.
- Create detailed documentation such as Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), user stories, process maps, and functional specifications.
- Specify data necessities to support analytics and reporting, including key information for dashboards and business insights.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects and technical teams to develop and refine solution designs.
- Assist in system integration, oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and ensure readiness for production deployment.
- Coordinate with stakeholders across Payroll, HR, Finance, and Technology divisions.
- Identify any delivery risks, dependencies, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of business analysis experience in complex enterprise environments.
- Strong track record in managing Payroll, HR, ERP, or Workforce Management projects.
- Capability to define business requirements related to reporting and analytics.
- Proven skills in facilitating workshops and translating business needs into functional documents.
- Excellent stakeholder management abilities across both business and technology units.
- Experience supporting all testing phases including UAT and implementation.
- Hands-on knowledge of tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Visio or their equivalents.
- Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall project delivery methodologies.
Additional Information
- This is a 6-month rolling contract with strong prospects for extension.
- Compensation ranges between $900 and $950 per day, plus GST.
- Work location is Sydney-based with a hybrid model requiring three days onsite and two days working from home.
