Senior Accountant

Overview

Jainox Engineers is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This role involves comprehensive financial management, compliance oversight, and team leadership responsibilities to support the company's accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and critically evaluate financial reports including financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and variance analyses.
• Manage general ledger accounts with a focus on complex reconciliations such as bank and sub-ledgers, ensuring accuracy.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards like GAAP and adhere to tax regulations such as GST and TDS.
• Continuously assess and optimize accounting frameworks, processes, and internal controls to improve efficiency.
• Contribute to budgeting processes, assist in financial forecasting, and support long-term financial planning initiatives.
• Coordinate and facilitate the audit process with internal and external auditors, preparing necessary documentation and acting as a liaison.
• Lead, mentor, and manage junior accounting personnel while overseeing the quality of their work.
• Ensure seamless execution of month-end and year-end accounting closing activities.

Qualifications & Skills

• Possession of a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or Master's degree qualifications are typically favored.
• Experienced in using accounting software and possesses advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with effective communication skills.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles like GAAP and relevant financial regulations.
• Knowledgeable in tax compliance, including GST and TDS, with familiarity in e-commerce finance being advantageous.
