About the Role

We are seeking School Bus Monitors in the West Elgin area of West Lorne, Ontario. Monitors and Aides serve as vital contributors to our commitment to safety and excellent customer service by supporting route operations and assisting drivers.
Key Responsibilities
- Familiarize with bus routes and maintain vigilance to ensure passenger welfare during transit.
- Report behavioral issues and conditions of stops to the driver.
- Assist with bus pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Help students safely board and leave the bus.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with school staff, students, and parents.
- Participate in all safety and training meetings.
- Lead emergency evacuations, including use of emergency exits.
- Operate service doors and move up and down the bus steps numerous times daily.
- Maintain cleanliness within the bus interior.
- Assist the driver when backing up the vehicle safely.
Required Skills and Experience

- Availability for early morning shifts.
- Good judgment and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to handle high stress situations.
