Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive Sales and Delivery Driver based at our Cromwell branch. This hands-on position combines direct customer interaction with delivery responsibilities, sales assistance, and customer service. You'll be out driving to customer locations, delivering battery products, processing orders accurately, and helping grow sales within the local region.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver battery products throughout the wider Cromwell area.
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with both new and existing clients.
- Support sales growth by maintaining regular contact and discussing products with customers.
- Handle customer orders promptly and precisely.
- Address customer inquiries and assist in finding appropriate product solutions.
- Adhere to a scheduled call plan and contribute to branch sales initiatives.
- Coordinate closely with the branch team to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Observe safety protocols when handling, loading, and delivering batteries.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor representing HCB while on the road and with customers.
Candidate Profile
Prior technical knowledge about batteries isn’t required as comprehensive training will be provided. We value a positive attitude, dependability, clear communication, and an ability to foster trust with customers above all.
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of a full, clean New Zealand driver’s license.
- Strong communication abilities combined with a customer service mindset.
- A reliable, proactive approach with a positive outlook.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Confidence in face-to-face customer engagement.
- Ability to work autonomously while maintaining a connection with the branch team.
- Readiness to learn about the products, systems, and sales procedures.
- Good physical fitness due to the manual handling of battery products.
- Legal authorization to work in New Zealand.
Experience in automotive, trade, delivery, warehousing, retail, or customer service is advantageous but not essential if the candidate has the right attitude and eagerness to learn.
