Role overview
We are looking for a safety-focused and detail-driven Safety Supervisor to support health, safety, and environmental compliance across operations in Doha, Qatar. In this role, you will help put safety policies into practice, carry out inspections and risk reviews, verify that client and regulatory obligations are being met, and strengthen a workplace culture that prioritizes incident prevention.
What you will do
- Run safety briefings and awareness sessions for staff on emergency response, handling hazardous materials, accident prevention, and safe working methods.
- Carry out routine safety inspections and audits at site level to spot hazards, unsafe conditions, and gaps in compliance.
- Check that company HSE policies, local laws, client expectations, and relevant HSE regulations are being followed.
- Track correct PPE usage and make sure safety rules and procedures are being followed consistently.
- Identify hazards in the workplace and assess risks linked to tasks, equipment, and the surrounding work environment.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss cases to find root causes and suggest corrective as well as preventive actions.
- Stay updated on current HSE regulations, industry practices, and standards, and recommend improvements to safety systems and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain safety logs, inspection findings, incident documentation, and other required HSE records.
- Encourage employee participation in HSE activities and help build a strong, proactive safety mindset across the team.
Requirements
- Valid NEBOSH or IOSH certification is required.
- You should have 2 to 3 years of experience working as a Safety Supervisor, preferably in Qatar.
- Working knowledge of Ashghal requirements and QCS 2014 is important.
- Candidates with Ashghal-approved Safety Supervisor status will be preferred.
- Good command of Microsoft Office tools is expected.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and reporting abilities are needed.
- You must be able to work independently and handle responsibilities in a fast-moving environment.
