Role Summary

The role of Restoration Technician entails technical restoration duties and site reporting across multiple locations. This position involves customer interaction and utilizing specialized restoration tools and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service.
• Perform initial make-safe operations for water, mould, fire, and other restoration projects.
• Prepare detailed reports and complete technician duties related to water, fire, and mould damage cases.
• Install, monitor, and report on restoration and mitigation equipment usage.
• Conduct mould remediation and fire wash down using appropriate restoration chemicals.
• Carry out inventory documentation for restorable and non-restorable contents.
• Execute steam-cleaning of carpets.
• Coordinate with internal staff, project managers, external contractors, and clients.
• Collaborate closely with office-based project coordination teams, estimators, supervisors, and managers.
• Ensure restoration work complies with quality, customer service, and workplace health and safety standards.
• Adhere strictly to company policies and procedures.
• Be available for emergency on-call duties, including weekends and overtime.

Qualifications and Checks

• Possess a valid Driver's License and Construction Induction Card.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a current Working with Children Check and Police Check before commencement.
• Having an IICRC qualification is considered advantageous.

Skills and Experience

• Preferably 2 or more years experience in the insurance restoration industry; however, training will be provided for those with less experience.
• Proven ability to manage multiple work sites simultaneously.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• A committed work ethic, positive mindset, and eagerness to learn are essential qualities.
