Position Summary
The Residential Program Coordinator role is part of a multidisciplinary team including nurses, behavior therapists, and public benefits administrators. The position requires professional planning, supervision, and management of health and habilitation services for consumers with intellectual and developmental disabilities living in various community-based settings. This full-time exempt role reports to the Associate Director of Operations and offers a flexible schedule Monday through Thursday, 8am to 6pm, with some flexibility within those hours. The home office is in Aurora, CO, and the role demands travel using a personal vehicle.
Key Responsibilities
- Train community providers and staff, assist with care planning, and troubleshoot challenges.
- Maintain and manage a caseload of consumers residing in contract community homes, apartments, or family homes.
- Supervise all facets of consumer care to ensure each individual attains the highest possible quality of life, respecting their capacities.
- Conduct monitoring and quality assurance consistent with organizational policies, personnel guidelines, and relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of an Associate's Degree or equivalent education.
- At least two years of related experience or training.
- Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, and between two and five years of relevant experience.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is considered advantageous.
- Combination of education and experience equivalent to above may be accepted.
Skills and Abilities
The candidate must be able to understand and interpret business documents, professional and technical publications, and government regulations. Effective communication skills are vital for writing reports, correspondence, manuals, and presenting information to diverse audiences including managers, consumers, families, and public groups. The role demands strong problem-solving abilities to address practical and complex issues with minimal standard procedures and requires excellent time management and prioritization skills.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Work duties take place across diverse environments, including remote settings, offices, community locations such as host homes and hospitals. The position involves regular driving using a personal vehicle. Physical demands include frequent reaching, talking, hearing, occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, and required vision capabilities such as close and distance vision, color perception, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Compensation and Benefits
The role offers an annual salary of $40,000 along with a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance options, progressive paid time off, paid training (including Relias, Safety Care, CPR/First Aid, and QMAP), paid holidays, quarterly awards, mileage reimbursement, opportunities for overtime work, continuous support, and growth potential.
