Role Overview
Tatsuo Consultoria Empresarial is seeking a dedicated Research and Development Manager to join their expanding multinational organization, based in Chicago, IL. This position is full-time and on-site, playing a critical role aligning R&D efforts with company objectives and industry trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee research and development projects, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
- Design, plan, and execute research initiatives transforming findings into actionable innovation strategies for both client and internal services.
- Manage daily project workflows including the coordination of cross-departmental inputs, monitoring progress, and ensuring that deliverables comply with expected quality, timelines, and budgets.
- Develop and maintain a product development roadmap, highlighting innovation priorities and growth opportunities.
- Drive the new product development process from conception through to testing and launch.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and marketing teams to integrate cross-functional insights into product plans.
- Remain current with technology advancements, industry trends, and competitors to sustain innovation and competitive advantage.
- Provide leadership and professional development for the R&D team, ensuring high performance standards.
- Supervise the design, development, and testing phases of new products to guarantee compliance with industry norms and customer requirements.
- Efficiently manage the R&D budget for optimal resource use aligned with strategic goals.
- Develop and apply intellectual property strategies to safeguard technological innovations.
Candidate Profile
- Proven expertise in research and development methodologies, including designing, conducting, and analyzing complex studies.
- Demonstrated project management skills with successful delivery of multi-phase R&D projects.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities to inspire and guide diverse R&D teams.
- Prior experience in consulting, professional services, or industry roles related to innovation, process optimization, or product/service development is preferable.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, business, science, technology, or similar fields, coupled with significant practical experience.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, coupled with the skill to communicate complex concepts clearly to varied audiences.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required; Doctorate or advanced degrees are considered advantageous.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive sales experience, including at least 5 years in leadership positions.
- Experience in engineering management is also essential.
Compensation & Benefits
The annual salary for this role ranges between $160,000 and $200,000. Additionally, the position qualifies for eligibility in an annual incentive plan, rewarding performance and contributions.
