Overview

The Reporter position at Giga Developers is a full-time, on-site role situated in Haripur District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The incumbent will engage in researching and collecting information on company programs, initiatives, and industry trends, subsequently generating accurate and clear news articles, stories, and internal communications.

Job Duties

• Conduct interviews with staff, trainees, clients, and stakeholders to gather relevant information.
• Verify all facts to ensure balanced, reliable coverage.
• Write and edit news copy, maintaining clarity and accuracy.
• Develop multimedia elements such as photos, audio, or videos to complement stories.
• Collaborate with marketing and training teams to highlight significant projects.
• Maintain a consistent schedule for delivering reports.
• Contribute to shaping the organization’s public image and document progress on efforts like Skilling Pakistan.

Qualifications

• Proficient reporting and news writing capabilities, including research and fact-checking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to produce clear and concise content for multiple audiences.
• Basic skills in multimedia content creation (photo, audio, video) to support news stories.
• Ability to craft structured and engaging English content adaptable to various formats and platforms.
• A Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent attention to detail, ethical reasoning, and commitment to inclusive, nondiscriminatory reporting standards.
• Comfortable working on-site in a team-based environment, managing concurrent deadlines.
• Knowledge or quick learning ability regarding IT and technology topics, including software, web, and digital services.
