Regulatory Officer

Role Overview

Btel Nigeria is looking to hire a Regulatory Officer in Abuja. This role focuses on keeping track of regulatory changes, making sure the organization meets all legal and statutory obligations, and maintaining smooth coordination with relevant regulators.

The right candidate should be highly analytical, meticulous, and comfortable working with regulatory rules and compliance processes.

What You Will Do

• Track updates in regulations and translate them into practical requirements for the business.
• Confirm that the company remains aligned with all statutory and regulatory responsibilities.
• Communicate with regulatory bodies and ensure reports and supporting documents are submitted on time.
• Prepare, update, and retain compliance reports and official records.
• Carry out internal compliance reviews and audits whenever needed.
• Brief management on regulatory changes and possible compliance exposures.
• Help design and roll out compliance policies and procedures.
• Support regulatory inspections and investigations when required.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Law or a related discipline is required.
• At least 3 years of experience in regulatory compliance, risk management, or a similar position.
• Good knowledge of regulatory structures and compliance obligations.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Comfort using Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to work on your own and handle several tasks at once.
