Job description
Role Overview
Join the Occupational Health team at our East Tamaki campus, supporting over 4000 employees across various work environments including manufacturing, warehousing, engineering, R&D and office settings. As an Occupational Health Nurse, you will conduct medical assessments such as onboarding health checks, walk-in clinics, and return-to-work evaluations. The role involves managing patient caseloads and addressing diverse medical situations ranging from minor illnesses to emergencies requiring quick and skilled interventions.
Working Hours & Environment
The position operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, offering no weekend, night, or split shifts. The schedule fosters excellent work-life balance and includes a holiday break over Christmas and New Year. You will be part of a broader Health, Safety & Wellbeing team comprising various health professionals and project managers.
Required Skills & Experience
- Must be a New Zealand Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Nursing degree.
- At least two years of experience in Occupational Health or relevant clinical experience within New Zealand.
- Solid knowledge of the New Zealand Code of Practice for Health Workers, ACC frameworks, and related legislation.
- Proven ability to manage high-pressure medical situations and emergencies, such as stroke protocol adherence.
- Experience in inserting IV lines and administering vaccinations is preferred.
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
