Position Overview
Join Diversicare Healthcare Services as a Regional Director of Plant Operations. This leadership role focuses on enhancing the quality of care and living conditions across multiple healthcare facilities. You will be responsible for overseeing plant operations in twelve centers in Mississippi, with occasional support in Alabama, ensuring high standards and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer hands-on leadership, training, and support to center maintenance teams to uphold company protocols and industry best practices.
- Provide education on the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for efficient plant operations.
- Evaluate and advise on contractor proposals regarding scope, costs, and solution strategies.
- Oversee contractors during projects, inspect completion quality, and resolve any deficiencies.
- Perform detailed facility audits including life safety compliance, equipment condition, building aesthetics, deferred maintenance, safety, capital improvements, and maintenance team assessments.
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and assessments related to building operations.
- Step in as Maintenance Supervisor and carry out repairs when necessary.
- Respond swiftly to emergencies, urgent maintenance needs, and operational issues.
- Maintain consistent communication with stakeholders through calls, emails, and meetings.
- Participate actively in regional meetings, training, and initiatives.
- Ensure policies, regulations, and procedures are properly followed.
- Complete projects, inspections, and reports accurately and punctually.
- Support centers in providing safe, functional, and welcoming environments for residents, staff, and visitors.
Candidate Qualifications
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively within assigned regions.
- Proven skills in diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems are preferred.
- EPA certification is an advantage.
- Prior experience with electrical systems is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and repair capabilities for various equipment.
- Healthcare maintenance background is favorable.
- Critical thinking skills to address complex challenges.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Competency with computer applications.
