Job Role and Responsibilities
- Review and execute the project’s construction method statements.
- Develop Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) to uphold project standards.
- Implement and oversee Quality Management System procedures related to the department's functions.
- Perform quality inspections (quality walks), and supervise corrective and preventive measures.
- Provide necessary training to the project team and workers on quality standards and procedures.
- Carry out concrete inspections before and after pouring processes.
- Inspect all ongoing construction operations to verify compliance with standards.
- Set up and maintain on-site material testing laboratories according to the Laboratory Manual.
- Inspect all aspects of building finishing work, including painting, tiling, false ceilings, and cladding.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and workmanship closely.
- Conduct routine inspections and material testing in accordance with technical specifications (TS), contract agreements (CA), Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MORTH), applicable Indian Standards (IS), ASTM, and NATM technologies.
- Inspect formwork, reinforcement, and concrete execution.
