QA/QC Senior Civil Engineer

Overview

BEC Arabia is actively looking to recruit a proficient Senior Civil Engineer specialized in QA/QC to join our team based in Riyadh. This vital position ensures the delivery of top-tier quality standards for a variety of prestigious construction and infrastructure ventures that support Saudi Vision 2030.

Key Duties

• Design, execute, and supervise tailored QA/QC plans for projects.
• Perform ongoing inspections and audits ensuring adherence to project specifications, Saudi Building Code (SBC), and ISO 9001 standards.
• Coordinate quality-related matters with project leads, engineers, and subcontractors, taking corrective steps as needed.
• Approve material submissions, method statements, and inspection test plans to confirm compliance with project needs.
• Guarantee conformity to client-specific quality protocols such as ARAMCO and SABIC standards.
• Compile comprehensive quality reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and root cause analyses for stakeholders.
• Oversee construction procedures for compliance with drawings, specs, and safety protocols.
• Guide and train junior engineering personnel on QA/QC principles and standards.
• Collaborate with third-party testing bodies to verify material and craftsmanship quality.
• Help implement digital quality management platforms including Building Information Modeling (BIM).
• Engage in meetings with clients and stakeholders to resolve quality issues and offer expertise.
• Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of QA/QC experience within construction or civil engineering.
• Mandatory registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
• Depth of knowledge in ISO 9001 quality systems and Saudi Building Code compliance.
• Experience with ARAMCO and SABIC quality standards is required.
• Skilled in quality management software such as Primavera P6, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and testing processes.
• Proficient English communication, especially in report writing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar fields.
• Additional credentials such as NEBOSH, LEED AP, or Mostadam licensing.
• Background in smart city or sustainability-oriented projects.
• Expertise with BIM and other digital construction tools.
• Experience with major Saudi giga-projects or projects linked to the Public Investment Fund.

Work Environment

• Position is Riyadh-based with occasional travel across Saudi project sites.
• Primarily site visits and collaboration with on-site teams and subcontractors.
• Exposure to outdoor climatic factors including high temperatures.
• Mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on construction sites.
• Regular working hours with possible overtime during critical project phases.
