Role Overview
The QA Engineer role involves assuring the quality, reliability, and safety of PerfectServe’s healthcare SaaS products through extensive manual and automated testing. Working independently within a team, the engineer will gradually take on more complex challenges while supporting the development of robust, secure, and effective solutions that impact patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual test case executions and thoroughly document defects.
- Create and maintain automation scripts to improve test efficiency.
- Utilize API testing tools and embed testing processes within CI/CD pipelines.
- Gain a deep understanding of the systems under test and architect test strategies accordingly.
- Develop and execute detailed test plans, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and maintaining QA environment stability.
- Adhere to quality standards including those required for HIPAA compliance testing.
- Engage in team ceremonies and collaborate closely with development and product teams.
- Communicate defects, test results, and documentation clearly while contributing to QA knowledge and best practice sharing.
- Participate in QA planning aligned with product release objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Between 2 and 4 years of professional experience in QA engineering.
- Proficient in executing test cases, documenting defects, and automating tests.
- Experience with API testing and integrating tests within continuous integration/continuous deployment environments.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies and performance metrics.
- Effective communication skills with openness to feedback and learning.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in testing within HIPAA/HITRUST regulated healthcare settings.
- Experience with performance and security testing methodologies.
- Skills in developing test frameworks from scratch.
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a salary range from $90,000 to $120,000 annually, varying based on individual expertise, skills, and contributions. The company maintains pay transparency and regularly reviews compensation to promote fairness.
