Role Overview
The Purchasing/Supply Chain Coordinator position is a full-time, on-site role located at either Kamo's headquarters in Augusta, GA, or its branch in Columbia, SC. The starting salary is $45,000 annually, with benefits becoming available after 90 days of employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full purchasing cycle including preparing and processing purchase orders.
- Track delivery schedules and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Monitor inventory levels and resolve stock discrepancies to ensure product availability.
- Collaborate with operations teams for timely replenishment of stock.
- Review usage reports and analyze purchasing data to support decision-making.
- Maintain and update item and vendor information accurately.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and suppliers to resolve issues promptly.
- Assist in continuous improvement of supply chain processes and support cost control efforts.
- Ensure all records and documentation comply with company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent communication and customer service skills for effective vendor and client interactions.
- Strong analytical abilities to evaluate inventory, purchasing, and usage data.
- Experience in operations management, especially coordinating purchasing and logistics.
- Expertise in inventory management including stock monitoring and record accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems incorporating AI to boost efficiency and reduce costs.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational abilities, and capability to manage multiple priorities in a high-paced setting.
- Prior experience related to purchasing, supply chain, analytics, and technology.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
