Purchase Engineer - Foundry & Manufacturing

About the Role

We seek a Purchase Engineer with extensive expertise in procurement for manufacturing units involving foundry operations. The candidate must possess solid knowledge of metal casting, machining, purchase planning, and dispatch coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete spectrum of purchase and procurement tasks.
• Develop purchase plans aligned with production and inventory demands.
• Collaborate with vendors to obtain RFQs, negotiate terms, and finalize orders.
• Source materials, components, and services essential to foundry and machining activities.
• Maintain supplier relationships and conduct evaluations of vendor performance.
• Coordinate seamlessly with production, stores, quality assurance, machining, and dispatch departments.
• Track material availability, delivery timelines, and forecasting for purchases.
• Ensure all procurement procedures conform to ISO/IEC and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate purchase documentation, records, and MIS reports.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in purchase or procurement roles within manufacturing, foundry, or machining sectors.
• Strong insights into metal casting and machining processes.
• Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and communication capabilities.
• Proven ability to handle procurement consistent with production needs.

Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹35,000 per month
