About the Role & Team
As a Publicist, you will play a key part in creating innovative and resonant publicity campaigns for theatrical releases and Disney+ Studios content. Collaborating closely with Publicity Managers, cross-functional teams, and media contacts, your efforts will help craft memorable campaigns that foster strong industry connections and meaningfully engage audiences.

The role reports to the Publicity Manager and is located in the London Hammersmith office, working onsite four days a week, with one day remote from home, either Monday or Friday.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist Publicity Managers in developing and executing leading publicity and communications campaigns for theatrical and Disney+ Studios content.
- Coordinate publicity activities among internal teams, media partners, and other Walt Disney Company lines of business to ensure cohesive, effective, and audience-centered campaigns.
- Collaborate with US publicity and awards teams to support screenings, set visits, awards campaigns, UK press events, talent scheduling, media logistics, guest handling, and security procedures.
- Establish and maintain strong networks with internal and external stakeholders, including Disney synergy partners.
- Manage daily communications plans, publicity schedules, and media contact lists.
- Ensure publicity materials and assets are localized, accurate, current, and accessible via platforms such as image.net and DMS.
- Facilitate media outreach, content launches, exclusives, and pitching across print, broadcast, online, and emerging media channels.
- Serve as a media contact point, responding promptly and proactively to enquiries.
- Track industry trends, competitor actions, and media landscape shifts, providing insights to refine campaign strategies.
- Collaborate with Digital Marketing, Social Media, and Influencer teams to identify priority influencers and support screenings, events, and content opportunities.
- Assist in organizing premieres, screenings, and publicity events, creating exceptional experiences and securing impactful media and influencer coverage.
- Support and mentor Publicity Interns to nurture a collaborative and inclusive environment.
- Produce detailed campaign recaps and performance reports to communicate results effectively to stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience within film, entertainment, publicity, communications, or a related creative sector.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting theatrical film publicity campaigns.
- Familiarity with the UK media landscape including print, broadcast, digital, and social platforms.
- Strong enthusiasm for film and the broader entertainment industry.
- Experience with events, screenings, and talent-driven publicity efforts.
- Knowledge of influencer engagement and social-first communication strategies.
