Public Area Attendant

Role Overview

Innisfree Hotels is looking for a Public Area Attendant for the Hilton Garden Inn FWB in the Crestview-Fort Walton Beach-Destin area. This is an hourly, full-time onsite position starting at USD 15.00 per hour, depending on experience. The Public Area Attendant is responsible for keeping all guest-facing and shared spaces clean, organized, and presentable. The role helps create a positive first impression for guests while maintaining the property’s cleanliness standards and responding to guest needs and concerns.

Key Duties

• Interact with guests and coworkers in a courteous, service-focused, and positive way at all times.
• Support a respectful workplace by handling disagreements calmly and professionally.
• Follow the assigned schedule and maintain dependable attendance based on property needs.
• Maintain a neat personal appearance, including the correct uniform and nametag while on duty.
• Keep lobbies, meeting rooms, restrooms, hallways, restaurants, banquet areas, gyms, offices, business centers, and other shared spaces clean and orderly.
• Carry out routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, polishing furniture, fixtures, and elevators, and emptying ashtrays and waste bins.
• Perform regular floor checks to ensure cleanliness on each floor and at elevator landings.
• Assist guests in common areas whenever needed.
• Respond to guest concerns promptly and accurately.
• Take initiative by anticipating the needs of both guests and team members.
• Stay informed about hotel facilities, operating hours, restaurants, shops, and function rooms.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Keep the work area clean and safe, and report safety concerns to management immediately.
• Handle other related tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a high school diploma or an equivalent credential. Prior housekeeping experience in the hospitality industry, preferably at least one year, is an advantage. The role requires the ability to understand written, spoken, and scheduled instructions, communicate clearly in English, and perform basic math.

Strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks, teamwork, and the capacity to work independently with limited supervision are important for success in this position.
