Role overview
This position sits within a 24/7 protective services team that helps maintain safety and security for patients, visitors, and staff across Alberta Health Services facilities. The role is part of an integrated, patient- and family-centred approach alongside clinical teams, with strong emphasis on customer service. As the facility’s law-enforcement and disaster-response function, the team applies relevant federal, provincial, and municipal legislation and policies to support access to healthcare in a safe environment.
The position also involves working with a wide range of populations, including individuals with specialized needs. AHS notes a Remote Retention Allowance of up to $3,000 annually. This allowance is non-pensionable and is paid hourly for all hours compensated at the base rate.
