Project Manager - Production & Operations

Are you passionate about dance music and skilled in managing projects related to event production? Insomniac Europe is seeking a proactive and driven Project Manager specializing in Production & Operations. This role centers on managing the full lifecycle of event production—from budgeting and logistics to site management and coordination across departments. Operating primarily remotely with necessary onsite attendance at events and offices, you'll help ensure the flawless delivery of groundbreaking music festivals and events.

Insomniac is recognized worldwide for producing immersive music festivals enhanced by cutting-edge effects and performances. With over 10,000 events attracting seven million attendees across 13 countries and five continents annually, including the flagship Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, Insomniac's commitment to an unforgettable fan experience sets industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive budgeting tools using past event data and collaborate closely with producers and finance for budget tracking and overage approvals.
• Manage vendor contacts, coordinate department meetings, and consolidate schedules to drive the overall event build plan and logistics.
• Oversee onsite operations, including daily production meetings, safety briefings, and real-time coordination of event requests during load-in and execution phases.
• Serve as primary liaison for venue, permitting, and community relations and collaborate extensively with site experience, marketing, and public safety teams to ensure compliance and event quality.
• Lead communication through managing group chats, scheduling meetings, capturing action items, and spearheading problem-solving and leadership initiatives within the production team.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of five years’ experience in event production, operations, or project management within live entertainment.
• Strong financial acumen with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking.
• Proficiency with project management platforms such as Asana or Smartsheet.
• Experience with logistics planning, CAD site designs, and implementing security protocols.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder communication, and vendor relationship skills.
• Advanced technical abilities with Excel and familiarity with tools like Lennd and CMR.
• Capable of anticipating issues and applying proactive solutions.
• Flexibility to work outside standard hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing large-scale festivals or concert productions.
• Background collaborating with top-tier industry vendors and production teams.
• Knowledge of permitting processes and regulatory compliance related to live events.

Work Environment and Additional Information

• This role requires tolerance of high noise levels, dynamic event environments, and varying weather conditions.
• Must be willing to travel and work extended hours, including holidays and weekends, as event schedules demand.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $90,000 annually.
