About the Role
The APAC Digital & Platform Services (DPS) Change team within Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Operations drives strategic platform and digital transformation initiatives for the APAC Markets Operations. This role as an Associate involves leading change management efforts across multiple APAC countries, with a focus on settlement processes. The position requires managing and delivering projects that support market expansion, enhance client experiences, implement strategic systems architecture, and promote operational efficiency while mitigating associated risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end delivery of strategic, process improvement, and regulatory initiatives as a Project Manager or Business Analyst.
- Analyze and assess the impact of projects on business models, operational workflows, systems, and resources through stakeholder collaboration.
- Drive continuous improvement and change management by challenging existing practices and fostering enhanced processes.
- Convert business requirements into detailed solutions and corresponding test plans, leveraging suitable methodologies and technology.
- Ensure strong governance with effective frameworks, methodologies, reporting, and escalation to deliver projects on time and accurately.
- Forge and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders, providing leadership and guidance to business units and project teams.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in project management or business analysis.
- Demonstrated organizational and project leadership capabilities, adept at managing ambiguous situations and leveraging new opportunities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to engage with all levels of stakeholders including senior executives.
- Self-driven with an aptitude for rapid comprehension of complex topics and strong critical thinking.
- Analytically inclined, skilled at resolving intricate operational challenges.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical reasoning.
- Proven ability to exercise sound judgment, independently recognize issues, escalate appropriately, and formulate actionable solutions.
- Works effectively within teams and adapts flexibly to diverse work styles and collaborative environments.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of software development methodologies including Agile and Waterfall, capable of heading projects under different frameworks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Alteryx and UI Path is advantageous.
- Previous exposure to Fixed Income Operations is preferred.
