Project Engineer (Civil) – Power Generation

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Project Engineer (Civil) to join our Projects team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The chosen professional will oversee the planning, coordination, and supervision of civil engineering tasks related to power generation projects. The goal is to ensure all work complies with safety standards, timelines, budgets, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all civil engineering activities throughout the lifecycle of power generation projects, from start to handover.
• Analyze and assess project blueprints, specifications, bills of quantities, and contracts.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders including clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to promote seamless project delivery.
• Track site progress, ensuring civil works meet approved plans, required standards, and schedules.
• Oversee construction elements such as generator and equipment foundations, cable trenching, control rooms, and related infrastructure.
• Develop and track project timelines and compile progress reports.
• Evaluate contractor outputs, measure site work, and ensure all project documentation is accurate.
• Identify technical challenges and apply effective engineering solutions to keep projects on track.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations as well as company policies.
• Participate in project meetings and provide consistent updates on project status.
• Assist with project phases including testing, commissioning, handover, and closure.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• At least 3 to 5 years’ experience as a Project Engineer, preferably in construction, infrastructure projects, industrial facilities, or power generation.
• Experience with civil tasks in industrial plants, substations, power stations, or diesel generator installations is advantageous.
• In-depth knowledge of reinforced concrete, structural engineering, and onsite supervision.
• Competence in interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and bills of quantities.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Project or Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office tools.
• Preferably registered with the Saudi Council of Engineers.
• Good command of English language, both spoken and written.
