Role Overview

This position is ideal for a highly motivated individual with a proven track record managing data center projects through their entire lifecycle. The candidate must possess strong problem-solving abilities, excellent negotiation skills, and demonstrated leadership in guiding multidisciplinary teams. The Project Director will be responsible for successful delivery of a Hyperscale Data Centre, balancing attention to detail with strategic oversight.

Main Responsibilities

• Serve as a site-based leader reporting to the Senior Construction Director within Yondr's Design and Construction division.
• Manage the full project delivery lifecycle from pre-construction phases through to handover to Yondr Operations.
• Work independently while maintaining clear accountability and reporting, supported by the Campus Director.
• Support the design process by providing site-prepared information from Stage 3 through to construction information stages 4 and 5.
• Build and sustain strong working relationships with supply chain partners.
• Review all project information to ensure compliance with Employer Requirements and contractual commitments.
• Supervise procurement processes for the General Contractor, sub-contractors, and suppliers, ensuring adherence to company policies.
• Develop informal partnerships with key subcontractors and maintain ongoing communication with the construction team.
• Engage with main contract design teams to understand design developments and changes.
• Ensure planning and permitting requirements are fully met.
• Collaborate effectively as part of the senior management team, adopting a company-wide perspective to address daily project challenges.
• Manage the administration of key agreements, including Development and Main Contract Agreements, ensuring full compliance.
• Provide regular reports and updates to clients and internal customer teams.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 15 years of relevant professional experience managing project delivery from the client's perspective and/or construction within multi-site Data Centre portfolios.
• Proven capability managing multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
• Experience leading vendors, including architects, engineers, and contractors.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction and capital project strategies, relevant markets, customers, and supply chains.
• Familiarity with various contract forms and contract administration processes.
• Track record of successful delivery of multiple Data Centre projects.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
